I'm John Pieper, I live in western Wisconsin, just south of La Crosse. For the past eleven years, I worked at the University of Wisconsin - La Crosse as a Facilities Repair Worker. To refine that a little, I was the roof and building envelope specialist. I tried to keep the rain on the outside of the buildings. Stainless welding, aluminum welding and thermal imaging were part of my job description. My career included times as a plant maintenance electrician, forklift mechanic, grant writer and technical writer, with jumps from the blue collar to the white collar world several times. I retired in 2019 and I am finding the new writing me in Content Marketing and SEO. When the water in Wisconsin is liquid, my wife and I sail on Lake Pepin. When it's not, we snowshoe.
